Beauty Blogger Tag

1. Name a beauty routine you barely do.
Hmmm, I'd probably say a face mask, I'll relax in the bath but will never put on a face mask. And, exfoliate!

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
Nope, I hardly ever do it, but hopefully I'm getting some new makeup brushes soon so might not wash them until I get those.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail varnish?
Quite a while, I only really paint my nails in the holidays but I can go quite a while without painting them.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it (i.e., top coat, foundation and so on)?
I will spend ages umming and ahring over a product before I actually cave in and buy so it can take a while.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Not taking my makeup off before bed and never filing my nails, I get bored as soon as I've done a hand.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
Depends where I'm going, if it's a party I'll take a while, if its not that important I'll be ready in 20 mins.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
Yes - I'm really tight!

9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collections?
My makeup's pretty organised if I'm honest, my nail polish is less organised though...

About 3 days maybe? I dunno!

This is my first lifestyle post ever on this blog, but, Money Supermarket's latest competition was too good to miss!

Money Supermarket asked bloggers to put together a top summer driving playlist and here's mine!

This is one of my favourite songs ever, I think it has a really summery feel and I just love it!

5) Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepson
This song always gets stuck in my head and I just think it's a great cruising tune!

6) Best of Me - Georgina Hagen (Britannia High)
This song just makes me happy, I'm also humming it and I just constantly have this on repeat. I think this sounds really summery as well.

7) Domino - Jessie J
This song is just amazing! I love it - Jessie's one of my favourite singers and I think this is my favourite song from her. It sounds really summery and I never get tired of it!

8) The Story of Us - Taylor Swift

Review: MUA Blush - Shade 5

Hey Guys!

Today I am going to be reviewing the MUA blush in shade 5. This blush is quite a deep pink colour with small gold glitter particles running through, so if you don't like glitter then this blush 'ain't for you!

It's a really pretty corally, pinky colour that gives a nice natural look to the face. The powder can occasionally become a bit chalky so you do have to make sure you tap off any excess otherwise you will end up with a Russian doll effect on your face. :/

Packaging is fairly basic but what do you expect for £1. Your gonna have to skimp somewhere¬

For the money I'm very happy with it. It gives a lovely wash of colour, looks natural, gives a really pretty wash of colour and is a nice addition to my collection.

Pretty Heavily Swatched there.

6 weeks off

Hey everyone!

Just to let you know that school has finished and I now have six weeks off! I'm really excited and I will have plenty of time to do some blogging.

Just to let you know that I will be going into year 9 next year so blogging may take a slight back seat as I will be starting to do my GCSE'S! Scary thought there!

Anyway, I am going to enjoy the summer holidays! I'm loving the hot weather, I've got lots to read and I'm looking forward to going to Portugal for a week!

Bye guys,
Have a good week!

Review: Miss Sporty So Matte Powder

Hey Guys!

Today I'm reviewing the Miss Sporty So Matte Powder. I've had this powder for quite awhile now so it's about time I reviewed it!

First up, the packaging feels sturdy and strong, looks nice enough and I love the shade of blue. It comes with a sponge (does anybody ever really use those)? and it has a circle imprint on the powder, which I've worn off.

I use this after I've applied my makeup and it gives a slightly matte effect to the face, it doesn't look powdery  though (which is good). I've found that the finish wears off throughout the day but it also soaks up any excess   oil that has been on my face. I really like this as it not only stops me from producing so much oil that all my makeup slips off.

I really do like this product, but when it runs out I think I will be purchasing the Rimmel Stay Matte Powder instead to see how they compare. Plus Tanya Burr loves it!

Review: Avon Colour Trend Lipstix - Coral You Later

Hey Guys!

Today I am here with a review of the Avon Colour Trend Lipstix in Coral You Later. As the name suggests this is a coral, orange colour, it's perfect for summer and it has been gracing my lips frequently.

First up I really like the smell, don't know why?! The packaging is ok, not amazing, doesn't blow you away but the one thing I have noticed with the packaging is that I can't figure out how to get more product up, it doesn't twist, there's nothing. And now I have none left. :(

Anyway, the formula is matte which can be slightly drying on the lips, so make sure you use lip balm! The colour is a bright coral and is really summery, the lipstick is really pigmented and build able so you can get a true coral. I think this will look amazing with a tan!

I really do like this lipstick but just wish I knew how to get more product out (if you know, please let me know)!

Review of The Body Shop Strawberry Mist

Hey Everyone!

Today I am reviewing The Body Shop Strawberry Mist/Body Spray. I got this in the 40% off orders at the body shop online. This went from £7.50 to £3.50 - so a decent saving there.

This has a very gentle burst of fruitiness. It's not overpowering, but not weak. It's a very light scent and the strawberry doesn't smell artificial. I'm terrible at describing scents, so I'm just going to say that it's really nice, fresh and sweet.

This doesn't last all day but it will last a fair while, you would have to top it up throughout the day if you liked a strong burst of fragrance all day.

You can spray this everywhere, around your room, on your clothes, your hair, your body, everywhere! I really like the scent, the packaging is nice, it's in a nice glass bottle, not some plastic rubbish!

So overall, I do like this, I just wish the smell lasted all day not half a day, but that's my only downside to it.

The Body Shop Chocolate Body Butter

Hey guys!

Today I am reviewing this chocolate body butter! First up it smells AMAZING! I nearly licked it in the shop! I would've looked really strange if I had, haha! But seriously this thing smells exactly like chocolate and it excites me when I use it because I want to smell it! Is that normal?

Anyway, this is one of the infamous Body Shop body butters. Believe it or not this is my first one that I've ever tried. I'm sure in the future there will be many more.

The consistency of this body butter isn't overly thick but it isn't really thin. It's a nice middle. It applies really smoothly, doesn't take ages to dry and it didn't leave my skin feeling greasy.

You could smell this throughout the day and I love it! It applies smoothly, smells AMAZING and generally I just love it!

Review: MUA Extreme Volume Mascara

Hey Guys!

Today I am going to be reviewing the MUA Extreme Volume Mascara. This costs £2 so is a bargain!

When looking at the wand, I really liked it, I quite like big, chunky wands so this looked promising.

When applying the mascara though, I found it gave a really natural finish, it didn't look like I was wearing loads of makeup, just a really nice natural eye look. It found that it didn't clump and defined each lash nicely. It lengthened each lash but didn't give it a lot of volume - so for a volumising mascara that isn't great! But, it is really nice for everyday wear, such as for school, or a makeup, no makeup day.

On a little side note I also really liked the smell of the formula, don't really know why I was smelling it, but you know, personally I think it smells quite fruity so that was also a nice surprise! Haha!

Overall, I think this mascara is an everyday natural mascara, however if you prefer lots of volume than this isn't for you.
